可见光单光子探测器(峰值QE~800nm)

The ID120 series consists of compact and affordable single-photon detector modules based on a reliable silicon avalanche photodiode sensitive in the visible spectral range.

Spectral coverage for the visible red spectrum

Up to now, the ID100 series was limited to detectors with high efficiency values in the green region (around 500 nm). The new detector of the ID120 series has high efficiency values in the red region of the visible spectrum and a ultra high active area. This new detector comes as free-space module, passive quenching, maximal efficiency value around 800 nm. This detection module is highly versatile thanks to an USB connection and a Labview interface allowing the user to change the bias voltage and the temperature of the diode.

The modules are available in three dark count grades

The grades are educational (EDU), standard (STD) and ultra-low-noise (ULN), matching your budget to the perfromance required.

The module is equipped with a dual universal output signal port which can be set through the software interface. The module is compatible with C-mount, SM1 and cage technologies from Thorlabs. This allows an easy coupling of the light beam onto the active area of the detectors.

General Time Correlated Single Photon Counting(TCSPC) Guide

There are several techniques for studying photoluminescence lifetime. Among them,Time-Correlated Single Photon Counting (TCSPC) is the most common technique for fluorescence lifetime measurements. It allows to measures fluorescence   decay time from 10sps to a few hundred nanoseconds producing a wealth of   information of the sample. This application note will discuss the basics of   luminescence, its application in the spectroscopy and microscopy, TCSPC setup   and necessary components in detail.

Fluorescence and luminescence detection

Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging microscopy (FILM) is an   imaging technique which is based on the differences in the exponential decay   rate of the fluorophore from a sample. This technique has been widely used to   quantify froster resonance energy transfer (FRET) in cells and to acquire   information about populations of interacting molecules. FILM is a highly   sensitive technique for recording very weak signals with picosecond   resolution with high precision. It is independent of fluorophore   concentration, excitation intensity and noise.

Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS)

DLS is a non invasive technique and it is well established for measuring the size of molecules and particles in the submicron region. It can measure particle sizes of 1nm to 1/10 of the wavelength of the light with ± 1% precision ± by taking only 1-2 minutes to get the results. It allows for low sample volumes (as low as 2 uL) and straightforward sample preparation at modest development cost. An overview of the DLS experiment is by measuring the auto-correlation measurements and plotting an intensity correlation function(ICF) with time.
