声光调制器(AOM)通常用于激光腔外,以改变入射激光的强度(调幅调幅)。这可以是简单的ON/OFF调制,用于快速切换或可变电平调制,以实现强度调制。调制模式由射频驱动器的类型决定,可以是数字(开/关)或模拟(正弦、方波、线性、随机…)。

 

AOM的射频驱动器一般采用固定频率,AOM的关键参数是上升/下降时间,它定义了调制可实现的“速度”或调幅带宽。上升/下降时间与调制器内部的光束直径成正比。因此,为了获得快速的上升时间,必须控制入射激光束的直径。AOM可以用作快门(设定频率的循环开关)或可变衰减器(动态控制透射光的强度)。激光调制是通过控制由射频引起的声光晶体中的声波来实现的。

 

SIMTRUM提供了一系列自由空间(单通道中最多24个通道)和光纤耦合(保持偏置和不保持偏置)AOM,频率范围可达300 MHz,上升低至6 ns。我们提供aom匹配系列射频驱动器,您可以根据产品规格选择相应的射频驱动器。

射频驱动器可以产生射频信号,并通过外部调制信号控制射频信号的开关、频率、功率等。通过对射频信号的调制,可以实现对激光开/关、激光功率、光束偏转等的调制。射频驱动有固定频率或可调带宽等多种选择,射频频率主要在20MHz到250MHz之间。

 

 

射频功率从1W到150W,触发频率从1Hz到1MHz,负载为50ohm,可用于数字和模拟调制,24VDC电源。

声光调制器(AOM)工作原理

 

声光调制器(AOM)的工作原理是基于声光效应,利用声波在光介质中传播引起的折射率变化来调制光束。

 

具体来说,AOM通过在材料(通常是透明晶体或玻璃)中传播的声波(超声波)来调制光束。

1.声波的产生:将射频(RF)信号施加到压电晶体(换能器)上。由于压电效应,压电晶体产生超声波。超声波通过声光介质传播,形成一系列被称为声波(声光栅)的密度变化。

 

2.折射率变化:超声波在声光介质中传播时,引起介质折射率的周期性变化,形成动态光栅。这种动态光栅使经过的光束衍射。

 

3.光束调制:

 

调频:由于声波的频率很高(通常在几十到几百兆赫的范围内),入射光束的频率被声波频率调制,使入射光束的频率偏移一个声波频率。

强度调制:通过调节射频信号的功率,可以改变超声波的强度,从而改变动态光栅的衍射效率,实现对光束强度的调制。

方向调制:衍射光束的角度取决于声波的频率和光束的入射角。可以通过改变射频信号的频率来调整衍射光束的方向。

 

4.衍射光束:入射光束经过声光介质后,经动态光栅衍射成多阶光束。通常使用+1阶或-1阶衍射光束,而其他阶的衍射光束强度相对较低,可以忽略。

 

 

声光调制器的常用公式

  • 衍射效率计算公式:
    其中 I0th 为射频关闭时第0阶光的输出强度,I1st 为射频打开时第1阶光的输出强度。

 

  • 插入损失计算公式:
  • 饱和功率计算公式:
    其中L为电极长度,λ为波长,H为电极宽度,M2为声光优值,K为转换损耗因子,一般为1.12。

 

  • 上升时间计算公式:

          其中T为光学上升时间,D为距离,V为速度。该公式定义了声波穿过AO晶体腰部的传输时间,并用于近似高斯光束的光学上升时间。

Q: AOM的损害阈值是多少?

A: 通常,AOM的损伤阈值由涂层和晶体材料决定,但涂层的质量更为关键。因此,不同波长的AOM损伤阈值不同。例如:1064nm,纳秒级激光,损伤阈值为1GW/cm2。

一般来说,脉冲激光对器件有较大的损伤风险。如果你的脉冲激光能量高,请发激光规格给我们验证损伤阈值。
