Dichroic Sheet Polarizer is made of dichroic film that is covered with two glass plates. As incoming light beam passes through the polarizer, there will be an orthogonal polarization from the beam that is absorbed while the other is transmitted across. As such, Dichroic Sheet Polarizer is typically used to convert unpolarized beam to linearly polarized beam. Dichroic Sheet Polarizer is able to accommodate a wider angle compared to polarizing prisms, but it is not suitable for high powered applications.
