DKDP( Potassium Dideuterium Phosphate)  is a non-linear optical material that is usually used for doubling, tripling and quadrupling of Nd:YAG laser at the room temperature. Normally, their crystals have deuteration values of >98%. Their high electro-optic coefficients gives them the ability to be excellent materials for electro-optical modulators, Q-switches and Pockels cells. 


Their working wavelength ranges from 390nm-1400nm and can grow to be large in size. They are also flexible materials as they can be pumped using a wide range of sources. Generally, Type 2 DKDP crystals are used for second and third harmonic generation phase matching, while Type 1 DKDP crystals are used for fourth harmonics phase matching.
